Whats the easiest way to copy right a CD of your own personal music?

no. it doesn't.

just fill out the freaking copyright form on the government website. it only costs $35, you can do as much or as little as you want, and in a few months they send you back the form saying you are the copyright holder. i have about 30 songs copyrighted and am co-copyright holder on two recorded albums. it's easy.

Uh... the act of recording it gives you the copyright to it.

yeah, but you would be an absolute fool to assume that you were protected enough by that.

oh yeah, unless you go out of your way to copyright the songs on the recording within the SR form, you're just copyrighting the recording itself, not the songs. overall, you are best off copyrighting the songs as PA copyrights, and getting a seperate SR copyright for the recording itself if it is something you want to distribute. that way there is no confusion.
