What kind of parenting technique is this?

A very effective one. I can tell you: I did not want to be in those diapers so I cleaned my toys up RIGHT AWAY... and cried while doing it.

Stung by a wasp on my 2nd birthday at my aunt and uncle's house. It was on my left pointer finger. I remember crying and running inside and there was another wasp (or maybe the same one) crawling on my sock and my dad knocked it on the floor and stomped on it.

I've been seriously afraid of wasps and bees ever since. I was stung several more times at various points during my childhood too.

Uhh... unless they were extremely sheltered and/or allergic, who wasn't?

Your parents left you alone at the hospital overnight at 2 years old? :(

I remember taking a taxi to the hospital at 4 yr old when I cut my chin and had to get stitches. My mom was holding a handkerchief on the cut.

1959, hospitals weren't very patient friendly back then. No parents allowed to stay overnight like now.
