I did a clean instal of XP, all the updates, drivers, etc. My mouse started lagging real bad????? I unistalled/reinstalled mouse drivers, video drivers and everything else I could think of. Mouse still lagged. I formatted and reinstalled windows only to find the same issue. Then I noticed the power plug for my USB hub waas not plugged in. PLugged it in and all was fine. Wasted a good hour or two.

Mine is a variation of this. After a fresh instal I spent about 20 minutes trying to figure out why I didn't have sound. The problem was that I'd also taken my case out to clean it and when I hooked everything back up I plugged my speakers into the wrong jack on my Audigy 2 ZS. Way too many damn jacks on the back of that thing.

About 3 weeks ago I woke up to crashing thunder. There was lightning hitting very close to where I was so I went around my apt and unplugged my computers and TV, but didn't unplug the strip where my router/cable modem/alarm clock was plugged in.

A couple hours later I awoke and my router was fried, along with the ethernet ports on my cable modem and PC. Sucked 🙁

Here's another one that I just found out today.

I check my personal email at work through springmail.com. Sometimes when I am browsing forums or find something intersting, I will email myself a link to the thread, etc. Recently I have noticed that I do not get the emails in Outlook when I get home.
Today I tried to figure out what was going on. Apparently, sometime since I installed XP on a new Raptor hd about two months ago I added myself to the Blocked Sender List.

I had to disable dhcp with my old router to get a static ip on my pc for port forwarding purposes, for BT and WoW patches - part of this is specifying dns servers. My old isp had a few dns servers they switched between. I went without service for 2 days cursing them every minute of it for the "outage" when all I had to do was change the dns server addresses in network connections 😱

I once installed a NIC card not realizing the PC was actually in blank screensaver mode, with harddrives stopped, and not OFF. It turned on while I stuck the card in the PCI slot (moved the mouse). Luckily, nothing happenned.

These things happen when you dont plug LEDs in. =)

I have locked myself out of my router a couple of times.

got a new T42...accidentally turned the voice recognition on in Word while I had some MP3s playing...while I was writing an essay.

Weird words starting appearing on the screen and I'm like WTFFFF. Turn off the wireless, it keeps going...I'm really freaking out now b/c I can't imagine what could be "hacking" me. So i start cursing out loud...and low and behold my cursing comes up on the screen...so I'm like ooooohhhhhhhhhhhhh
