Also the p4 1.8 is code named the Willamette is a .18micron process cpu and can come in two socket shapes I believe 423 and 478....

The 1.8a nicknamed the northwood is only socket 478 and is part of the .13micron chips....

once you download wcpuid you will know aht you have as said above

do you have a mobo manufactured by intel?
if so, it wont let you oc at all (no bios settings i believe to oc)

also, it depends on ram (if it will oc much or not)
