X800se has a 128bit memory bus width. Memory frequency is 800mhz.

the X800XL has a 256 bit memory bus width and a memory frequency of 980mhz. - a much more powerful card

The X800XL is 16/6 (16pixelpipelines/6vertex) with 256MB DDR3 and the X800se is 8/5. I think ATI dumped the X800se in favor of the X800np, which is 12/5. I think the X800SE was also DDR1 and PCI-E only. X800np's come in both 128MB DDR1 and 256MB DDR3 flavors.

No, thats not true. ALL X800 cards have a 256bit memory bus. The 9800se had both 128bit and 256bit memory with 4 pixelpipelines. I think LatinJones mistook the X800se for the 9800se.

That's weird. My friend told me that he saw a X800SE 15bucks more expensive than the X800XL. Thought it's a more powerful card. Thanks

Any ATI card that ends in SE in a cheaped down version of the original. I would never suggest to anyone to buy an SE card.
