What's the difference between these two HDTV's?

Wal-mart recently came out with two great Sanyo TV's. I went to go check them out and they looked really great. The one in particular is located here: (http://www.sanyo.com/entertainment/televisions/digital/index.cfm?productID=1116)

Now what's the difference between that and a $900+ TV from Best Buy like this: http://www.digitaladvisor.com/tvs-and-hdtvs/samsung-txr3079wh_reviews.html

Best buy refuses to hook up anything that's not a 50+ DLP or LCD to their high def cable, so I have no idea what this TV looks like when outputting an HD signal.

The price difference is huge, but is the quality difference the same?

I have that Samsung tv. It's ok. There is some geometric distortion though. vertical lines seem to bow out at the very bottom of the picture.

edit for pic

Yeah I just saw that... hmm.

I realllly want it in time for the 360 though and don't feel like waiting a couple weeks to get it. However, it is quite the difference so I would pretty much have to if I decided to go that route.

Just get the Samsung... it's a lot better and worth the short wait.

Think of it this way, you will be keeping this for years and years, so what's a week?

I've heard lots of things about geometric distortion and warping though. I need to get out to Best Buy tomorrow and see if it's that bad.

Is there anyway you could get a picture of that?

Really? I dont shop there to begin with, but if I did, this would give me good reason not to.

Awesome, thank you.

And by the way, all the amazon places charge horrendous shipping it seems. I think they are all $1/pound which would tack on another $120+ dollars. Mise well just buy it at best buy.

Bah, that thing is huge. Might as well get a regular TV if you plan on getting that TV.

DLP FTW. (newegg has some prices on some toshiba/jvc ones for under $1200)
