Whats the difference between these two CD Players?

The difference is likely in features. The higher end models will be much more complicated, more manual controls (custom EQs, settings, etc.) The lower models will be more basic and easy to operate..

Yeah.. I could of kind of guessed that. But I was looking for more specific answers and opinions.

I guess maybe I should try a more technical forum?

9853:
- Has their new "GlideTouch" interface. Not a good idea, IMO, since being able to feel the buttons is good.
- 6-Channel Digital Time Correction & Bass Focus. Time correction, something you're probably never going to use unless you're seriously anal or plan to compete, which you probably aren't ;P, allows you to adjust the timing of the signals sent to your speakers and sub to correct for different distances from each speaker & sub.
- 6-Position HP/LP Digital Crossover
- 5-Band Digital Parametric Equalizer

9851:
- Dumbed down 9853, which is typical of Alpine's product line (a good thing). Not as good of an EQ, crossover, no time alignment, no "GlideTouch" interface, not as fancy of a display.

9847:
- Low end model, not a very good screen, no fancy motorized flip face, no remote, less overall controls

Ah, thank you.

In your opinion, which do you think is the best value here?

Ah, thanks man. Which do you think is the best purchase? I have enough money for all three.
