The Gigabyte card is faster , cheaper , and has a dual fan design.

No catch, it is just less exspensive.

edit: Just caught this in a revew of the Gigabyte version. If this is true, I would still buy the gigabyte version, its 100$ cheaper.

"GigaByte OC edition IS NOT supported by the GigaByte OC Guru overclocking tool. The GigaByte UD edition is. This issue means that the voltages are not tweakable using MSI Afterburner or GigaByte OC Guru. You can change the clock speeds. Small thing and if someone really wanted to pursue it I don't see why it would not be possible to flash the BIOS to the GigaByte UD, this may or may not be possible. However if this concerns you, get the UD."
