What's the difference between the various MSI KT3 Ultra boards? There's the KT3 Ultra, the KT2 Ultra-2, and the KT3 Ultra-ARU. What advantages does one have over the other? MSI doesn't seem to have done a very good job with the Web site. There are inconsistancies in the ways features are listed, and also, unless I'm mistaken, they've neglected to list in the features that the boards are capable of a 166MHz FSB.

Thanks!

The MSI KT3-Ultra comes in various configs. I have the MS-6380E version, which comes with on-board 6 channel audio, NO Northbridge fan (heat sink only), 4 USB 1.1 (no USB 2), MSI DVD software, and a "D bracket" which has an interesting set of lights that monitors startup progress. It was $77 at NewEgg.

The box says the KT3 Ultra-ARU model comes with ATA 133 RAID, USB 2.0 and a chip set fan.

G'luck.

I believe the difference between the Ultra and the Ultra 2 is the VIA Southbridge chip that is integrated on the board.

Ultra - VIA VT8233A

Ultra 2 - VIA VT8235

I have yet to find out what exactly is the difference is between the two chipsets but I believe the KT400 will launch with the VT8235.
