Have a relative who would like to go online for the first time and asked what the difference is. How would you explain it to them.
 
WWW is mearly a part of the "internet".

The internet is composed of things such as newsgroups, www, ftp, and email.

The internet is a HUGE collection of MILLIONS of computers networked together. The "web" is just one of the services that these millions of computers may be running.
