Megaworks 550

Inspire Digital 5700

they are both 5.1, and both around the same price. however, upon viewing the specs, the digital only has a very small fraction of the megawork's power and watts. so im obviously thinking digital source makes a big difference? because the power is SOOOO much less, but it costs the same. what advantages do digital hold over analog anyhow?

i have a creative labs cambridge FPS2000 that is digital. i have no complaints about it, great sound, plenty enough volume for me. even though the power ratings are very small as well. i want 5.1 now, and i dont want to feel like i downgraded from the fps to the megaworks by learnign that digital is superior to the analog.

The MegaWorks is a digital solution, thats designed so that you have one sound source only. The speaker are of very very high quality.
The 5700s are digital as well, and can have multiple sound sources plugged into it, and has loads of different sound options, like sound normalising, so that you dont have to turn up/down the sound in a DVD when something loud or quiet is going on.
Both are good systems.
