If not for competition from AMD's CPUs, what would an Intel CPU cost?

I just picked up a 2500K - also looking for a 1155 board, I have never had an Intel system so I'm not familiar with Intel boards yet, but right now I'm considering a Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD4-B3. Maybe someone can comment on this board.

That is good to hear - right now they are priced at $160.00 - seems like a good price. I just looked back at the Newegg reviews - it appears that at least some of the negatives out there are because of user errors and mis-information (according to the most recent reviews anyway - I know to generally take Newegg reviews with a grain of salt but I haven't been able to find a real review yet on this board).
