What's the difference between mid & full-tower ATX cases?

Are full-tower cases just more room (more internal bays), taller/longer, and more expensive?

Pretty much, though not necesarily more expensive.

Mid tower is usually under 19" tall

Full tower is around 24" tall

Super mid goes up to about 21"

You may also get more depth and width with the bigger cases too.

Oh, and there are cases beyond 24" tall, I guess they'd have to be called Monster Towers. .bh.

And I agree with JBDan, I saw a "full tower" recently while browsing cases on the Egg for around $30 or 40. + shipping w/o PSU (might have been an AMS). As I recall though, it didn't have much going for it except height.

Assuming the same 3-fan setup that is common in both (lower front intake, upper rear exhaust and the PSU fan) then the air flow won't necessarily be any more. But the air will spend a bit moe time inside the case picking up heat to carry away. So it's possible, all else being equaly, to see a degree or so lower system temp.
