What's the difference between IBM service plans

I'm probably going to get a thinkpad. The T42 2378-FVU. However, I'm confused about their service plans. The base warrenty is 1 year for this model. They have 2 services plans that look the same to me, except one of them is about $100 more. Here are the two sites:

What is the difference? I tried calling, but they are closed.

Both of those are not the standard warranty or warranty upgrades those are in addition to your warranty.
Both of those cover accidents and such.

The warranty you are aiming for is about $120 bucks with the product code 30L9192. That is a 3 year depot warranty extension from the 1 year depot warranty on the 2378FVU. The warranties that you have listed are for accidental damage.

I hear the depot service is great so don't waste your money with on site service unless Thinkpad downtime really loses you big time $$$.
