whats the difference between HP 45 and HP 45A inkjet cartridges? Same goes w/HP 78 and 78 DN?

Exact same cartridge. If you read the description for the top link, it actually refers to them as the 45a and 78dn. The difference in them is the free paper sample in the top one. In conclusion, go for the one with the free paper
