What's the difference between Format(Quick) and Format

I know Format (Quick) is quick, but what's the real difference, and are there advantages to using either?? TIA

Quick Format -- Clear files name from the table.

Format (regular) -- Does what Quick Format do, but take more time because it also run CHKDSK to check & mark bad sector.

Yeah, so if you do a quick format you are taking the chance of not having the current bad sectors marked and potentially losing your data. I normally don't do a quick format unless I've done a full format very recently.
