What's the difference between fanbus and rheobus??

I've seen many guides & casemods with rehobus/fanbus.
I think fanbus is the switches which is attached to the drive bay cover to control the speed of the fans. CMIIW.
Then what's rheobus??

hmm, correct me if i'm wrong, but i think a fan bus has simple on/off switches that control the fan. whereas a rheostat-bus has knobs that you can turn to control the actual speed of the fan

That's right.

fanbus = light switch
rheobus = dimmer switch
