What's The difference between Epox 8RDA and 8RDA+??

These are both nforce2 boards but what are the differences? As I have a hard time finding 8RDA+ available, I was just thinking of getting the 8RDA which is about $10 cheaper. Are there any performance differences I should be concerned about? Any help on this would be much appreciated. Happy new years folks!!

The big difference in my mind would be the sound setup. The + has the 5.1-channel capabilities instead of 2-channel. You also get onboard Firewire, onboard network adapter... am I missing anything? Ah yes, the + also has a PCI-slot bracket providing an additional pair of USB 2.0 ports.

Ahh..so the basic difference would be HW features. But as far as in board performance, I'm assuming the 2 boards are identical? Thank you much MechBGon for your helpful insight in this. It will help me make a better decision. Happy New years.

I did a full-text search for any threads with "8RDA" in the title but just about everyone's got the + version, so I can't provide much in the way of first-hand examples of how the non+ model performs. I'd expect it performs the same as the + as far as everything but sound is concerned. For the extra $10 I would want the +, but waiting can be tough...

it's only $10 more? i thought i was more like $30. at any rate... i wish i could afford an epox 8RDA+ that mobo looks oh so sweet....

It's only $30 more at NewEgg. Most other vendors don't have nearly that drastic of a price difference. We've been keeping an ongoing list of reputable vendor's lowest prices here in the Hot Deals forum. Take a look around, see what's in stock.
