Insane3D discusses that in this thread. Also, you can check the EPoX site for this information. I just decided to get the 8K5A2+ myself and went through some of the same questions.

aldente -

I responded to your questions in the other thread. I would be glad to help you setup the Epox board, but your email address and your private messages are not enabled in your profile. Once you enable them, feel free to send me a message. :)

pure english on the chart.

I found one thing on that chart sort of strange. They list the budget minded 8K3AE as having AGP voltage adjust, while their "higher end" boards like the 8K3A, 8K3A+, 8K5A2, 8K5A2+, and the 8K5A3+ do not. This seems very strange to me. I wonder if it is something that could be added in a bios update? In fact, the 8K3AE is the only Socket A board with AGP voltage adjust...weird...

Nah, I don't think so... It appears to be their budget level replacement for the 266A based 8KHAL. Every other one of their KT333 boards has more options than that board..and it's their cheapest.. I would be very surprised if it stood for "Enhanced"...

Strange that, since if you go to Epox site it does say, "AGP voltage settings are adjustable by BIOS " for the Epox 8K5A2,says the same thing for the 8K5A2+ as well.

E version I believe is the Economy version, normally has less features.

I did say Epox had too many boards out at the moment ;).

EP-8K3A

EP-8K3AE
Socket A AMD Athlon?, Athlon? XP, Duron?
3 x DDR SDRAM PC2700, 3GB max.
5 PCI, 1 AGP 1x / 2x / 4x
Note has one less PCI slot then the 8K3A,also no LED debugg on the board, and uses VIA Apollo KT333 Chipset + VIA VT8233A

EP-8K5A2

OK, this is getting weird. According to the manual for my new 8K5A2+, there is no AGP voltage adjustment setting in the bios....only Vcore and Vdimm...hmmmmmmm. I guess I'll just need to fire this baby up and see if it has the setting or not...

in product detail page:

http://www1.2themax.com/chinese/8k3ae_pm.asp
8K3AE
New VIA KT333 AGPset (KT333 CE version + VT8233A) - true 133MHz VIA chipset
CPU Vcore adjustable in BIOS
CPU external frequency 1MHz increment and facilitated by key-in function
VIO adjustable in BIOS
Vagp adjustable in BIOS
Multiplier adjustable in BIOS

http://www1.2themax.com/chinese/8k5a2+_pm.asp
8K5A2+
New VIA KT333 AGPset (KT333CE + VT8235) - true 133MHz VIA chipset
CPU Vcore adjustable
CPU external frequency 1MHz increment and facilitated by key-in function
VDIMM adjustable
Multiplier adjustable

http://www1.2themax.com/chinese/8k5a3+_pm.asp
8K5A3+
New VIA KT333 AGPset (KT333CE + VT8235) - true 133MHz VIA chipset
CPU Vcore adjustable
CPU external frequency 1MHz increment and facilitated by key-in function
VDIMM adjustable
Multiplier adjustable

So the chart is correct, only 8K3AE has Vagp.

From 8K3A, all use KT333CE, none of them has ever used KT333.

E doesn't mean economy model, E means an enhanced version to the original model. In this case, it's 8K3A and 8K3A+ which don't have Vagp.
