What's the difference between Athlon MP and Athlon XP ?

What's the difference between Athlon MP and Athlon XP ?
and why Athlon MP seem to be more expensive than Athlon XP?

Just to add to John's points (they're all correct, BTW), AMD won't support you in any way should you choose to use XP processors in a dual configuration.
