What's the difference between a regular sony memory stick and a sony magic gate memory stick?

The magic gate has Sony's proprietary anti-piracy protection, preventing you from copying mp3's off of your memory stick onto any other system than the original one it came off of. At least that's my understanding of it. You pay more to give up freedom.
