What's the difference b/w Thorton and Thoroughbred

Is there any real difference between the two cores? The specs at Newegg are identical - they have the same cache and the same voltage.

Thortons are Bartons with 1/2 the cache disabled- so theoretically you should be able to get better overclocking on it because there is more surface area to cool (And you won't have to worry about heat from part of the cache since its disabled)

They did that so they could salvage processors were part of the cache was defecitve, but I remember when they came out many people successfully enabled that extra cache without a problem

Tbreds themselves don't have the extra disabled cache- they have the same amount, but its all active~
