I've been reading through this forum and everyone with the new KT133A boards are lowering the Mult and upping the FSB 133 and beyond...the actual speed remains the same. My newbie question is...what is the benefit of faster FSB if the speed is the same??

with the faster FSB the cpu is able to "talk" to the rest of the system at a faster speed. this will increase not only your cpu speed but your memory speeds as well as a few other components.

Fingers is correct. To phrase it slightly differently, by upping the FSB rather than the multiplier you are basically increasing the bandwidth of the entire system bus rather than only increasing the internal speed of the CPU.

I third that and will also say that if your devices can handle it FSB OCing is much easier than Multiplier OCing. No mods to the chip just go into the bios and set it and your done :)
