My board is an asus a7n8x rev.2. It has dual channel. I have a stick of 512 ocz in one slot. By the way there's two slots that are close and one about anch away from the ram slots. My friend says i have dual channel and why not use it. But I didn't see difference between performance wise. Any comments?

There isn't much diff on an AMD system (only 3-5% performance increase). It's of much greater benefit to an Intel system.

It is claimed that DC is very helpful on AMD platforms with integrated gfx.

To use dual channel, you need two sticks of ram; one in one of the first two ram slots, and the other in the farther away slot.

IIRC, it brings a decent performance boost to the Athlon XPs, but not much of one to the A64s.
