I use speedfan also. The reason I believe that temp sensor is closer to the SB than the NB is because if I place a fan directing at the NB that sensor doesn't move. Whereas when I place a fan directing at the SB the temp drops dramatically. This is when I had the stock cooler on the 8800GT which provides no airflow to the SB.

To find north and south bridge volatge in Everest. Click Motherboard, then chipset. It will show at top of screen. It only shows default voltage so you have to do the math when increasing voltage.

do u think u can draw me a quick paint edit of the motherboard circling where u think the sensor is? i currently have a nexus 120x25 1000rpm fan blowing perpendicular to my ram since they can get pretty hot when gaming or running 100%

using EVERST Ultimate Edition 2007
Motherboard -> Chipset
does not show any volates. it shows:
Device Description: North Bridge, South Bridge
Field:
NB Fields with no info about voltages
SB Fields with no info about voltages
