What's the deal with WMA files these days?

Default format for Media Centre rips, so any noobs posting songs often do so in WMA. That said, it sounds much nicer for a given bitrate so I'm really not complaining...

Anything that encode in up to 24bit 96khz lossless is good in my book:beer:

People are figuring out that they're better quality now, I guess? I've been using wma's for about 3 yrs now
