I just saw Jerry Seinfeld in person....he came here to Austin to do his stand up act..
it was so awesome....of course we were in the nose bleed section with our $70 tickets
seinfeld is my hero! his show is the greatest ever...and i actually got to see him (somewhat) in person!
this act was so much better than his hbo special that he did a few years ago...and that was pretty good too..
and the opening act was really funny too..forgot his name, but they said hes been on letterman before...

anyone else been to one of his shows??what yall think?

bill cosby is comin here in a couple months too! anyone know if hes still funny and worth seeing? ha

I don't know about you, but I always skip the chance to see a living legend in person.

OMG $70 for nosebleed seats??? What kind of arena was it? Man Seinfeld's my favorite comedian of all time, and I watch re-runs of his show every day ad nauseum, but I think $70 for a sh!tty seat is outrageous. I had no idea he charged (aka gouged) people for that much $$.

I'm sure it was well worth it to you, but come on... there's no reason to charge that much money.

I don't know...why pass up the chance to see what everyone else is talking about/be able to say you've actually been there in person?

It seems like tickets for *ANY* live event are big money these days, heck when they can get $30 for pay per
view of course seats for the live in person show are gonna be outragous. My daughter and I saw Creed
awhile back and I'll tell you I paid thru the nose for those tx.. worth every cent though :)

it was a pretty big concert hall..had 2 balconies i believe....
i dont understand it..they had 3 prices for the tickets $47,$62,$77 (without fees)..i had the $62 tickets..we were on the very top of the 2nd balcony..there was probably only 10 rows behind that...whats the deal with that, i bet people with $47 tickets had better seats than us..
we were pretty far away...we got to see the top of his head...i couldnt see his facial expressions or anything..

btw:i have no regrets for paying that much money..for seinfeld i would have paid $90....
also, this thing was on campus (UT) and was put on by the performing arts center...and they still charged that much..

true... they'll price it at what the market will bear, and the fact is that there's enough rich people in this world that will pack the arena anyway. Sucks for poor people who might like Seinfeld too.

Well Heat, I'm glad at least that the ~$70 tix were the upper end of the spectrum. I thought they were the low end. Sounds like you just got the shaft seat-wise. Hell, UT probably reserved the floor seats for the chancellor and all his VIPs. :)

I would pay a lot to see Seinfeld too... but part of me just imagines how tough it would be if I couldn't afford to drop that much on a single show.

Doh! I thought you were like those guys who never drive their Limited Edition Mustangs or keep their GI Joe action figures in the box...People who won't experience stuff so they don't spoil the memory.

Alright then
