What's the deal with weather.com's pollen forecast?

It contradicts itself all the time. For example, it will say: pollen trends rising, forecast today moderate, forecast tomorrow low. Well, if tomorrow's forecast is lower than today's, how is the trend rising? For that matter, sometimes it will say "current conditions: high" and then the next day you look at the almanac and it will say that it hasn't risen out of "moderate" in over a month.

It's the same thing with temperatures - one is a forecast, and one is an actually reading. In other words, if the forecast for tomorrow was 80 degrees, but it turns out that it was actually only 70, then you can see the problem.

?? That doesn't answer the contradiction I stated at all...

I guess I don't know what your talking about then, because I'm looking at the PollenCast page now, and don't see any contradiction.

I'll try again:
---------------------------
Example A:

Current conditions: Very High
Tomorrow's Forecast: High
Next day: Moderate

Pollen Trends: Rising

See the contradiction there?
---------------------------------------
Example B:

Current conditions on, say, 10/2: Very High

On 10/5 I go and check the "almanac", and next to 10/2 it says "moderate."
----------------------------------
No one else sees how these are weird? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills! ;)

Yes, they take averages ... samples. Possibly a weekly average, or every 5 days. What happens in a period of 3 days won't change the trend necessarily.

Either another average, or that was a forecasted current and they were wrong.

Temp forecast for the next week:

Today high: 67
Tomorrow high: 24
Day 3 high: 80
Day 4 high: 82
Day 5 high: 88
Day 6 high: 93
Day 7 high: 94

Temperature trend: RISING
