What's the deal with Von Dutch?

Thanx for the links, but the real question is, why would anyone care? Am I missing something?

You're too old to be missing out on anything.

True. But I have teenage kids. I'm looking forward to the peace and quiet of senility.

the latest company to have great marketing skills.........

Now its just a hot label to wear but the guy himself was an interesting character
An artist of sorts

If that's the case... 😉

Von Dutch has been around for years, only up until celebrities started wearing the clothing has it become part of the 'vintage' fashion scene.

It's just for teens who have $ to blow.

just providing the website doesn't do vont dutch any justice.

von dutch was one of the best known hot rodder and chopper pin-stripers (aka pinheads) back in the 40's and 50's... he kinda layed low thru the 70's when he passed away... his name and then company were sold and the people who bought the name "von dutch" turned it into a clothing company, of which im sure von dutch is turning in his grave.

the man was a true artist, and its a shame what has come of his name now.

the motorcyle shop i work at does work w/ another very very well known pinhead named allen johnson, who used to do work w/ von dutch years ago... and has some great stories about him
