Whats the deal with Ticketmaster and printing your own tickets?

I assume you take the printout to the box office and it is just like the regular tickets?

Edit: The biggest sham is that they charge you $2.50 per ticket to print the tickets at home. So lame.

The printout IS the ticket, no need to go to the box office. Upon entry of the arena/stadium/etc., they'll just scan the barcode on the printout, and it's as good as a ticket.

Agreed. I always make them mail the tickets to me. if I have to pay for all the service fees regardless, they might as well spend the money on the postage. If there was a discount for using print at home, however, I'd consider it--but they currently charge ME to print the tickets when I'm using MY INK and MY PAPER. Screw them.

The ironic part is that they charge so much more to send you tickets or will-call or whatever that you feel like you're getting a deal just printing them out at home. R@t b@st@rds...

ticketmaster sucks. All ticket brokers suck. If we stopped using ticketmaster, the world would be a better place.
