What's the deal with the Radeon 9700 Pro version 1.3?

I've seen several people mention card version 1.3 of the ATI Radeon 9700 Pro.

How many different versions are there?
What is good/bad about each version, or why does the 1.3 version seem more desirable?
How do you tell which version you have? Is it printed on the card itself?

I am wondering on how to figure this out too, how do you tell if it is version 1.3? I know that the 1.3 version is supposed to fix compatibility issues with AGP 8X.

There are four versions: 1.0, 1.1, 1.2 & 1.3

On the back of the card is a sticker with SN & P/N.

The P/N is a 2 segment number. At the end of the first series of numbers, the last 2 numbers relate the version:

S/NXXXXXXXXXXX

P/N 10294206XX 064259 where 10=1.0, 11=1.1, 12=1.2, 13=1.3

BTW, the issue with AGP8x...the performance difference vs. AGP4x is negligible.
