What's the deal with Stein Mart?

I went in for the first time today...they have decent dress shirts and 'business casual' clothes...some good brand names (Nautica, Ralph Lauren etc.) at dirt cheap prices. No decent jeans though. But why is everything so cheap...are there 'irregularities' in the clothes? Are they last year's fashions (seemed current to me?) Why don't people shop there?

The reason they are cheap is because sometimes the manufacturer makes more than what they sell or end up selling less than what was expected to the retailers, so then they do nothing with them except sell them at really low prices to Steinmart.

So I guess its like another TJ Maxx (we had those up north, not very many in the south though?)

I've seen irregularities at Stein Mart. It seems like there isn't much point shopping at discount clothing stores when you can get prices just as low with a few online coupons and the right sale.

TJ MAXX is absolute crap! When I first came to the US, my aunt took us there. I was like clothing stores suck in the US.
