What's the deal with StarCraft II offline?

I have a client that is having me build a PC for him, and that includes playing SCII, but he's not into the internet mumbo jumbo...so he doesn't have internet at home...weee!

Anyone know how it works, what is enabled, disabled?

My best option as it seems right now is to give him my spare wireless USB adapter and have him steal the neighbor's wifi just to activate the game(every 30 days i read somewhere?)

(Yes, i know there is an SCII thread, blah blah blah) thank you for your help folks!

I think you are right, and the game needs to initially connect to the internet and then connect every 30 days.

I believe you can play the single player campaign (without achievements), as well as matches vs computers, but obviously multiplayer (the only reason to really get SC2) is a no-go as there is no LAN.
