What's the deal with Newegg and the NF7-S?

Why is Newegg pulling this? I'm thinking that I'm better off getting it from Mwave or ZZF. Any ideas?

They're probably sick of people returning them when they don't overclock well.

Agreed...same with the Shuttle AN35-Ultra.

Sort of all those Epox KT333 boards that were the first and last boards to actually read from the XP's internal diode. So many of those got returned because the board "ran hot".

We want our non accurate socket thermistor to tell us the temperature of the air in the socket and claim it as CPU core temperature dammit!!! :|

so my 8k5a2 (non+) reads from the diode??? i assumed it read low like all the others and have always added another 10c on to my results in my head. Load hits 49C according to MBM5. i really thought this is low.

can't say i've ever really become concerned about it. i've got an sk7 with a ys tech 80mm on high so i know i've got enough cooling for this 1700+ and i've never had any problems with stability. but, anyway, i've always just assumed that 59c was a closer estimation (well under worry temps).

No, only the 8K3A did. Epox stopped reading from the thermal diode after they were inundated with RMA's for the reason I mentioned. Also, all the other manufacturers saw what happened to Epox, so they never supported reading from the diode either. Basically, the stupidity of end users who couldn't handle seeing the real temp of the cores in the 60's, none of use will ever get an accurate core temp on any socket A board, other than the 8K3A/+.
