whats the deal with members and senior members?

its easy to move from the ranking of a junior member to a member, but what is the deal with moving up? is it by how long you stay here, or how many posts you make? also, could you give me a list in order if the rankings?

Most of the rankings is in terms of post count.

Do a search or look at the FAQ for details.
 
0-25: Junior
26-200: Member
201-1000 Senior Member
1001-2000 Golden Member
2001-3000 Platinum Member
3001-10000 Diamond Member
10001+: Lifer
 
Wouldn't it have been easier to just move the previous thread to this forum instead of locking and creating a new one?

Sure. However, his second thread (this one in Forum Issues) was created prior to the original being locked.
