Whats the deal with locking threads?

I dont understand why my last thread was locked. It seemed everyone saw it coming before it happened. Is free speach not allowed on this board? What a crock

The "deal" is that these are privately owned and operated boards, and the good folks behind it don't take kindly to posts about illegal drug use on thier servers, software, or bandwidth.

Don't like it? You are entitled to your opinion.

Won't put up with it? (and complain?) Bye-bye. There are plenty of other places where you can talk about that junk.

Its your choice, stay and abide by the rules, or leave. If you are going to follow the board rules and not complain/attack the mods, welcome. Otherwise you will not remain unbanned for long.

(I'm just telling you how it is.)

Don't count on the policies changing because of your complaints, either. Countless people just like yourself sign up here, bitch about the "censorship", and then when they realize nobody's listening, they leave. We've all heard it before, so either go by the rules or go away.

Yeah, what Optimus and Killbat said dammit! Psst: Good job guys, I couldn't have said it better. 😀

Censorship has its place... but I believe even the founding fathers didn't mean for you to go around shouting "fire" in every open movie theater...

In fact, most privately run businesses (of which Anand is) have the right to limit what you say and do within their confines. If you don't believe me... walk into your local bookstore or supermarket and start cursing at everyone. Watch how fast they call the cops and have you removed.

The only place where freedom of speech seems to be less restrictive, is Public places.

There are laws about using foul language in public.
But nothing as far as internet censorship. Or laws that prohibit talking about illicit substances in public.

But the bottom line is that the rules are the rules, and ya gotta follow them to play
🙂
