How come he keeps getting these cop roles?? and has he stayed with just one for a very long time?
 
Stupidest mistake he ever made was leaving NYPD Blue.

He even admitted this in a few interviews I read.
 
ya, i thought he was in NYPDBlue but i couldn't remember for sure. that was a long time ago.
 
He's actually a really good actor.. He probably gets type casted because he's a flame haired irish men.. In movies they're either alcoholics or cops (i don't mean like the irish guys that could pass for other nationalities - Pierce Brosnan, etc.)..
