What's the deal with black uniforms?

I think black looks really good, and also more intimidating than other colors. The black+red is a very good combination for intimidating people since in the animal kingdom its an indication of a dangerous/poisonous animal, and its programmed in our brains to fear thing with these colors. Its just working on psychology to try to get whatever advantage you can no matter how small (think of it the other way too, if the other team is wearing pink are they gonna intimidate you?).

I guess, but it doesn't dazzle the eye or add to any originality. Any reason why the these uniforms are considered the greatest NFL uniforms ever?

As long as their black uniforms aren't designed by Hugo Boss, I don't care. But when they are, it's time to worry!

U of Oregon has black uniforms now? When did this start?

http://i.a.cnn.net/si/multimedia/photo_.../11/20/gallery.cfbweek12/10_oregon.jpg

Started a few years ago.

It seems like they change their uniforms every game, why cant they just pick one and be done with it. Dont they realize they are the laughing stock of the College Football world when it comes to uniforms?

On the contrary, it is an attention grab by Nike who makes the uniforms and sponsors the team. The U of Oregon has gotten an amazing amount of money from the company as a local partner, and they are proud to show off their unique unis.

Unique, expensive, and colorful are words used to describe Oregon's uniforms. Never do I hear "pretty". 🙂
