I have seen quite a few places on pricewatch that are offering 256 meg PC-133 sticks for athlon only systems. And they are like 30 bucks cheaper! As in 256 megs of 133 for 58 bucks. Now i just ordered 4 Kingston 256 CL2's from amazon for 9.99 each (I think that was a glitch) and in case that doesnt come through, id like to go ahead and get one of these nice cheap "Athlon SPecials" I have the KX-133 chipset so according to them im golden...any ideas, please help me out thanks!!

I've got a stick of 256 that I have in a KA7. It runs fine CAS 3 @ 133(I dont push it). They have the name Speedy silkscreened on the chips. It has something to do with the size of the chips only being recognized by the latest VIA chipsets. I think they are well worth it if your not going to overclock the memory.

I believe the density of the actual memeory chips plays a role as well. BX and similar chipsets from Intel can't handle them (256-bit or something like that?).

Yes it has something to do with chip density. I havn't heard of any real problems with this ram.
