Whats the deal with 2k and IRQ9

I was looking at my device manager and I saw that EVERYthing is on IRQ 9..is this bad? I havent had any major problems lately. Does this have something to do with "Standtard ACPI" or whatnot?

thanks

Its just a good feature to have if you have alot of devices and don't want to wrangle with IRQ conflicts. If you don't need it I say its better to disable it, the more things Windows does the more chances for problems.

Windows is not controlling the devices. Your ACPI Enabled BIOS will assign your devices either IRP 9 or 11. Read the Microsoft link that ddiccico posted.

Thanks ddiccico. Relief, I was going nuts on trying to figure out if I had a problem with my install of Win2k.
