What's the coolest you've ever seen your CPU?

I remember when I was messing around with a Celeron D and it Idled at 19C, I just wish my old Pentium D could have had this temp.

Hopefully my celeron L doesnt get to hot which it shouldnt. 😉

18 c isn't uncommon, it has gone as low as 6 c with my rig in the window sill. My old rig would run at 1c full load but it was pelt cooled.

My QX6700 B3 would never show temps below 20C even when cooled with vapoLS to -60C.

So at best I can say my CPU has been seated to an evaporator head that was -60C...the temperature of the CPU itself was no more than 10C warmer so we could call it -50C.

(BTW at -60C my B3 only requires 0.86V to be smallFFT stable at 1.6GHz)

I did a suicide run and took mine subzero once, got tired of fighting condensation so I vowed no more pelts.

Well the OP didn't say it had to be running.

One of my boxes of goodies was missing on delivery and it was found a week later in the ice cream freezer. When I was called to get it and told what happened I brought my Raynger with me and shot the retail cpu package with frost at thirty seven degrees below zero centigrade. So that's the lowest that QX6700 has been to my knowledge. 😉

-32C the lowest.

Then yeah i hate preping for condensation. The last time i touched sub ambient was on a Athlon.

I may go back into it, but i dont want negative temps anymore.

I kept my pelt on a variable output supply and i'd keep my temps just above to keep out the moisture. That turned out to be too much work so I went to plain air.

Only time i've had sub-ambient temps is when i had my Coolit Freezone.

It gets pretty close when i open my balcony door during the winter too 😉

To be fair, this was in 0C ambients 😛

I miss wintertime.

I don't🙂 It's a bitch....Rigs love it though... BTW 19c

I can get one of my Q6600 to 12C under full load (seti all 4 cores) for a few minutes.
that normally happens when I change out the reservior... it's a 1 gallon pitcher of DI water that I keep in the fridge for water cooling.

I live in a capecod style home, we use the upstairs as a computer room/office. The upstairs was added after the home was built, I don't think it is insulated very well and the previous owner didn't do much in regards to running much ventilation to the upstairs. Anyway, in the winter it'll get pretty cool in there, probably in the 55F range. At idle I remember seeing my Opteron 165 in the 16-17C range. Nothing major, but it probably helped with my overclocks.

I remember seeing my dads A64 3200+ around 12C degrees just after startup during winter a couple of years ago (door had been open to a very cold and unheated conservatory, so the PC was very cold too).

Mine was with passive cooling. When I switched out my Q6600 B3 for a G0, I was amazed at the temperature difference. So undervolted the CPU. Got it down to 27C with the fan disconnected on my ThermalTake V1.

Well just the other day i started up my new Q6600 and it was showing 12-14c in 10c ambients. Bloody cold for me but my comp seemed pretty happy.
