What's the coolest cell phone under 200 bucks?

I want to get a cell phone, from pretty much any of the major cell providers except sprint. Anyone have any suggestions? I'd like to get a color screen and maybe a camera and definately polyphonic rings. Ideas?

There is an updated version that has a camera, but it's typical phone quality (ie sh!t).

I have a Motorola T720 trhough Verizon, if you have a previous working cellphone you might be able to get a rebate on it. I got a 100 dollar rebate to make it about 100 dollars, else its 200. The ringtones you get 5 free and then pay for the rest you download.

had the t720 from verizon and hated it. the lg vx4400 is an awesome phone. so is the samsung a530. i think they're both under $200

do not buy this phone.

it has some serious problems.

lately i've noticed, every 8th or 9th time i open it, it doesn't trigger the lights and the screen doesnt' come on.

yestderday, for the first time, i opened it and it didn't answer so i had to hit the answer button.

it's just inconsistent that way.

i hate this phone wish i hadn't spent the money on it that i did.

I like the looks of this phone. There is also a $50 rebate on it too. So, the phone is free.

That 50 dollar rebate, if it's the one I'm thinking of, only applies to plans over 40 dollars a month. That may or may not be an issue.

The T720 is one of the worst phones motorola ever made. DO NOT GET IT.

For verizon, you could get the lg vx4400, lg vx600, or samsung a530

Yeah, for the extra 50 for the 6610 it is required you spend at least 40 dollars a month. I have had this phone, provider T-Mobile, for almost two months and I have to say it is pretty badass. Got it through Amazon (heh, was -50 dollars when I did it) You can still get it for free though after rebates. It has poly tones, very nice color screen, no camera though. It can use WAP which goes through T-Mobile T-Zones so you can get customize wallpaper, tones, games, and applications. It comes w/ a free 30 day trial for t-zones so if you want to customize it just call in and tell them you want to try it for 30 days.(Make sure you cancel the 30 day trial before 30 days else you will get charged for the next month) Be smart, and go to howardforums to find wap sites that give free tones and wallpaper instead of spending a dollar a song on T-zones.
Really cool phone, looks a lot more professional than most other phones out there.

All with cingular besides the S500 thats a verizon phone but they all have everything besides cam but the 3650 has it....get the nokia 3650 its badass

My Samsung S307 owns!

Only prob is, it's with cingular ! ... I don't like cingular very much anymore, they gayed out after they stopped free M2M calls amongst a family plan.

Isn't that what FAMILY plan is really suppose to based upon? With our current plan of 1000 minutes to share amongst 4 phones, if we call each other we get charged DOUBLE minutes, 1 min for the person calling, 1 min for the person receiving, I tell you its completely rediculous... but they said we pay $30 on top of the $80-90 we pay now M2M would be free... WTF ... it was suppose to be added to the family talk plan when we signed up... bunch of crap

oh anyway, the phone is AWESOME !

Another vote for Nokia 3650. Great phone with the best built-in camera out there right now. Some highlights: Uses MMC memory so you aren't ever stuck with limited storage. Ringtones can be any midi or wav file you wish. Infrared or bluetooth to your laptop or pda for instant full internet access with tmobile's 9.99 a month unlimited tzones plan (yes, it's not just wap access, it's full access).

Hey, thanks for the replies...It sounds like the t720 sucks. I'm assuming the T721 and 22 suck too? I think I might either get the S307 or VX6000. One question about the S307, it says it has a 256 color screen, is that a bad quality screen? For example the Nokia 3595 has 4096 colors, the T616 has 64k colors.
