Yeah I did, thank you! I'm hoping I can convince them to get one. A MacBook Air to be specific. Either the low end 11.6" or 13.3". How are the MacBook airs? Sufficient for surfing and PowerPoint?

They redesigned the chassis and removed DVD drive and switched to custom SSD ("Flash") storage, plus its non-user upgradable (to shave off weight and size as well as make more $).
You can upgrade the SSD on the rMBPs.
This is a bad time to buy a Mac laptop.
New versions will be out relatively soon (in a couple of months), and likely they'll have 802.11ac.
