What's the cheapest Audigy 2 that has firewire?

Hi gang,

I've been shopping a little for soundcards. Also my new MB, the Asus A8N-E has no firewire. I came across some of the Audigy 2 cards and it seems some of them have a 1394 connection, which I guess I'd like to use, so I only have to get 1 card, instead of the sound card and firewire card seperately. I was trying to look on creative's site, but they don't even list the Audigy 2 Gamer.

Thanks!
Aaron

They audigy 2 gamer is the exact same card as the ZS just that it includes a bunch of games. I have seen the gamer go on sale for as low as $55ish which makes is a great deal. I have wanted to pick one up but just don't have the $$ right now.

I'm not sure why Creatives site does not show the card, I noticed that a little while back but did not really think about it.

I'm sorry, let me try again, the Audigy 2 ZS gamer is the same thing as the Audigy 2 ZS. AS far as I have seen, there are no plain audigy 2 gamers. I figured if you knew anything about the gamer setup you all-ready knew this.

Cool, thanks guys. The games would be nice, but the "gamer" edition seems to be around $100. I have found the Audigy 2 ZS for like $65 after rebates on amazon. Seems that Fry's has sales on these cheaper, but of course there are none around here.

thats not a bad price at all. If you are not in a hurry then wait until the longest time possible before getting the amazon one (ie until you are approaching the rebate due date). As I stated before, I have seen the gamer go on sale and it has happened alot lately. Maybe that is a trend or maybe that means it won't go on sale again for a while, I'm not sure. either way enjoy that card, I am a little jealous as I want one
