Mine was a 64oz T-Bone at the Capital Grille in Philadelphia. My sides hurts for days afterwords, like I did an intense ab and oblique workout. I thought it was a lot after 3 hours of working through it, but the waiter (a guy I always request there) told me one of the Eagles linemen (he thinks Jon Runyan) would come in, order a whole chicken, strip it clean, then order a 64oz steak, polish that off, and finish with about half a restuarant size tub of ice cream. :Q

I think this summer I am going to try for that huge burger at Tony Lukes in philly, I think its like 10lbs.

What's the biggest steak you have eaten and where?

(and no I am not overweight, I am a powerlifter and I run also, my diet it mild to most in my sport)

I had a 32oz Porterhouse at Morton's a few years back. I only had salad and a little bread with it though so it wasn't really too much to take in. I think I could eat a little more than that if it were the only thing I was consuming but I doubt I could get down 64ozs of meat in one sitting.

Usually the restaurants I go to don't have anything bigger then like 26 to 30 oz if it's a steak, or maybe 40 oz for a prime rib.

Usually I just order the biggest steak, and eat it along with a soup, salad, sides, appetizers, bread, and desert. That is never enough food to make me hurt, but it is enough food to be extremely satisfied.

When I was younger, I delivered meat into Montana. There was a restaurant that offered a 72 oz. porterhouse. At the time, if you could eat it with the trimmings, (baked potato, veggies, and salad within 60 minutes, it was free. If not, it was $25.00, which was a LOT of $$ at the time.. (this was in the early 70's) I only saw one person make it, but several try and fail...

Damn the fixings would kill me, I usually take an hour break and then go back them later if I am at home.

$24 for the 16 oz, then $1 per ounce after that. so nearly $40 for a steak. but with 40% off....

~$35 is not bad as long as the chefs know how to cook it very well.

How much was the 64 at Capitol Grill? Last time I was there, it killed my food budget for the entire day and then some. At least I had per diem from work for the trip.

I've never had one while eating out larger than 24 oz. It was a rare prime rib with a baked potato, a huge salad and french fries. I hadn't eaten all day.

I ate a 1lb hamburger including the bun and a can of soda and three saucers of melted cheese in under 10 minutes.

I think $84, The bill came to over $200 (no alchohol, I don't drink) with my two friends who were with me for my birthday. Then we tipped $100 because we love the watier, if you ever go there again PM me and I can hook you up with him.

Same here, but splurging once in a lifetime won't kill you.

Most I've done was a 30 oz prime rib in Oklahoma...but this was pleasure-eating w/all the sides and beer...I do wonder how well I could do if it were just meat.

How'd you cook them?

Put a little "Steak Seasoning" on one side, and cook them medium on the grill. Nothing fancy.

Probably 16oz, and that is pushing it for me. I can't eat a lot at one time. :(
