What's the biggest downfall of Motorola Phones ?

I think it's their external antennas on the newer models and subpar quality.

What do you think ?

I'm trying to justify myself for choosing a motorola over a sony ericcson, but it's just so damn difficult.

I got the v300, I like it but motorola's GUI is worse than samsungs.
Things that errk me are that the side buttons don't act as page down in menus/internet, the interface is very slow for some reason, I haven't found a way to bookmark a URL, there's no numbers assigned for menus. (Like there's a menu of 9 things each one in samsungs has a number associated to it but the motorola's doesn't)

Last motorola phone I had was the V60i and it was a piece of junk. The two halves would flex side ways, the material felt real cheap, and the antenna like you said was bad.

I loved my StarTAC. Its only fault was a flimsy external antenna. They seemed to have fixed that with the V60 tho. I'm not sure what motorola's downfall was. I just know I love my Sanyos

I really like the Sony Z600 but it's so difficult to find at a decent price.
I'm thinking about the V300. But I don't know. Still traumatized from the T720

the build quality of the V300 is great. does not feel cheap at all unlike the T720. But going from the samsung interface to the v300 interface is no fun. I used to have a samsung A600.

I have a v400 now and had an i95cl before. Both great phones. v400's software is a little slow though.

You really can't compare Motorola's v60 line with the other Motorola phones. the v60 were light and too plasticy. The i95cl is a very solid phone. I dropped it many, many times and still nothing wrong happened.

I have the V400, and I like it ALOT. Feels like top quality, reception is good, speakerphone is awesome.

Ahhh.. I don't want to hear good things about Motorola ~
I wish I can find the Z600 for like 300.

You just have to settle for scraps working for Verizon
