Depends on what you mean by "biggest". Go download some of that freaky Danish pr0n, and you'll know for sure.

English Mastiff

My old roommate got one as a puppy and his father was 250 pounds. VERY big. He, jake, is a little over a year old and is 170. he will top out 220-250 like his father

Irish Wolfhound is the tallest

The heaviest I would say would be the St. Bernard or the Mastiff.

2nd strongest jaw power? Where the hell does someone find THAT out about a dog? So, whats the first?

English Mastiff has the most mass (they can way over 200 pounds).

I'm not sure about the "largest" in terms of height. Probably either Irish Wolfhound or Great Dane.

Newfoundlands are huge. I know a lady who owns three of them. 150-175lbs. Very sweet dogs, they look like bears...

Great Danes are massive. My insurance guy had one that ran around the office. The thing was like five feet tall just standing (not on hind legs or anything). Scared the crap out of me when it came into the office while I was filling out my policy.:)

Akitas are awesome. They can rip your internal organs out in a split second if they wanted to, but they're awesome. :D

bulldogs have the strongest

i'm surprised only ONE mention of St Bernards appeared. yes, they are not very tall at the shoulders (tho pretty long) but they are heavy.

are you looking to get a big dog? look at their longevity statistics as well as their size.. I don't know about the others but mastiffs don't seem to live very long. I'm not a dog person anyway but if I was going to spend big money on a dog of some real breed, I'd like it to be one that I could keep for a long time.

Yea, but which type of bulldog? American or English. Besides theres so many other types of dogs that I think it would be hard to figure out which one has the strongest jaw power, some would say the pit bull, but I would disagree there. There are so many though.

Visting someone with a big dog is a lot more fun then having to live with one. My parents have had several Great Danes over the years and they are real nice tempered dogs but dumb as rocks. Most were females and weren't huge but the last one was a male and weighed around 180lbs. When he steps on your foot it hurts, when he hits you with his tail it hurts, you can't leave any food on the counters cause that right at face level for him, can't watch Tv when they are in the room because they allways seem to stand right infront of it(did I mention they aren't smart? :) ). Anyway its a pain in the ass.
