Because CAD lives there.

Or maybe it's because Iowa is where the Primary season kicks off. The Iowa caucuses are today(monday) and can sometimes provide one particular candidate some momentum and cause others to rethink their campaigns.

but yeah like dave said - because I live there(here):D

In truth it's because in Pop Culture mythology, Captain Kirk hails from Iowa, and everyone wants to be associated with Captain Kirk because he always beats the bad guy *and* gets the girl ;)

Iowa & NH start the primary season.

Many people are like lemmings; follow the leader.

Who wins Iowa is proclaimed as the front leader by the political and media idiots.
That will then cause some of the lemmings to change direction and/or generate more $$ from those that wish to procure influence.

Then NH comes into play and causes a zig/zag.

Anyone that is not in the top 3 in either state will be proclaimed a loser and will usually be dropped out by the middle of Feb.

Take the money and buy some hills or something. ;)
Try riding a bike across the state in July and you will know we have hills. Big hills. No mountains, but we have hills. Lots of hills.
