nVidia make the best AMD chipsets (arguably), and ATi make good Intel chipsets (I think Intel themselves are using them to supplement their own chipsets?)

So, if AMD and ATi join forces, well...

It woud be bad if they make Motherboards that would not accept any third party video cards.

I would expect that most Americans would be OK with that however.
