A sheet of ice cream cake being picked up at 1030. Won't be served at party location until 1245ish. Better to keep it in their fridge packed with ice packs or in a cooler by itself with ice packs?

Supposed to thaw 30 mins in fridge for cutting usually so I'm thinking fridge for 2 hours even with ice packs is bad news. But is a cooler any better?

Put it in a freezer and then thaw it for 30 minutes in the fridge prior to serving.

Probably the cooler, though it depends on how well the containers are insulated. The fridge will probably shut off after it drops below a certain temp, and the ice will have more volume/mass to cool in the fridge.

Edit: Doh too late hah.
